Restaurant website design
People look for your menu, your hours and your number. Three things, on a phone, in ten seconds.
Most people looking for your restaurant have already decided to go out. They want to know what you serve, whether you are open tonight, and how to hold a table. When those three answers come fast, they book. When they do not, they go and look at the restaurant next door — it really is that simple.
The problem is almost never the absence of a website. It is a PDF menu that takes eight seconds to open and cannot be read on a phone, opening hours from last summer, a phone number you have to copy out by hand. None of it is dramatic on its own. Put together, it costs you covers every evening.
We design restaurant websites in Vevey and on the Riviera that fix those three things first, and deal with the rest afterwards.
What it includes
The menu, as real text
Not a scanned PDF. A menu you read with your thumb, that Google can index, and that you change with the seasons without calling us.
Open or closed, right away
The thing everyone looks for first, shown at the top and not buried in the footer. Annual closures included.
Booking in two taps
A number you can call with one tap, and your booking tool wired into the page if you have one: Zenchef, TheFork, or a simple form.
Your dishes, not a stock library
We lay out your own photos. If you have none that work, we can shoot them — that is the trade next door, and it shows immediately.
What is really at stake on the Riviera
Between Vevey, La Tour-de-Peilz, Blonay and Chexbres, a large share of your weekend customers do not come from the village. They arrive from Lausanne or further, they do not know you, and they choose you on their phone twenty minutes before getting in the car. For them, your site is not a shop window: it is the only decision-making material available.
The other half, the neighbourhood, already knows you. They are not looking for who you are, but whether you are open and what is on tonight. A good restaurant site serves both audiences with the same page, without forcing either of them to hunt.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a restaurant website cost?
The Showcase pack is CHF 1,000, fixed price: up to three pages, the menu, the hours, the contact details and the launch. The Complete pack is CHF 2,500 and adds the form, the gallery, the English version and an area to edit things yourself.
I change my menu often — will I have to call you?
No. The Complete pack includes an admin area where you edit the menu and the hours yourself, without breaking anything. On the Showcase pack, changes are billed hourly.
Does it work with Zenchef or TheFork?
Yes. We wire the tool you already use into the page, so booking happens without leaving the site. If you do not have one, a form or simply the phone number is often enough.
Do I really need an English version?
It depends on your clientele. On the Riviera, a place that lives off tourism gains from it; a neighbourhood bistro, much less. We talk it through beforehand rather than billing for it as a matter of course.
